In the winter of 1920-1921, Zig (Haas Ziegler)
visited California. When he returned, he told of
a new game called golf and talked Alec into
converting the pasture into a golf course. Cows
and horses mowed the grass. This venerable old
course was opened in 1921. It grew from the
original four-hole, sand-green layout to this
sporty par 34 course. |
